On Saturday, the Sovereign State of Versmark held its first ever official debate ahead of the Autumn 2025 General Election, between the competing Monarchist Council Party (MCP) and the Alliance for Civil Transformation (ACT).

The debate began at 12:00pm PST with representatives from both parties including ACT Leader Benjamin Baliga and MCP founder Quinlan Wingfield.

The debate lasted around 100 minutes, covering several points from economics to campaign promises to foreign affairs. Hosted by His Sovereign Majesty Wald I as the moderator, a number of citizens stopped by to listen while others contributed by commenting on the various points.

The MCP had more diverse contributions from its membership, with the likes of Josh Ford, Moxie Flint, Alexandra Reaney and Johanna Walach. Benjamin Baliga on the other hand was the ACT’s only contributor in the debate, responding to each point. However, the ACT Leader remarked that the debate went very well and was very thankful for the opportunity.

Afterwards a recording of the debate was uploaded on Versmark’s official YouTube channel.

His Sovereign Majesty encouraged the Versmarkian people at the end of the debate, to vote and continue to participate in the politics of Versmark. The Autumn 2025 General Election is set to be held at the end of the month.
