TYMBARC, Tym. (Versmark National) — Today, Sir Josh Ford announced a timeline of events leading up to his imminent resignation as Minister of Foreign Affairs on Labor Day, the 7th of September. Having served as the only Foreign Minister (save various interim ministers while he was out of office) since Versmark’s establishment in 2023, his contributions to the Foreign Ministry have included branching out to Lehmark’s prior allies and otherwise greatly expanding Versmark’s diplomatic foothold, formed in the wake of Lehmark’s dissolution in April 2023.
In terms of treaties (though obviously not the best sign of someone’s term as a foreign minister), Sir Ford had helped consider and ratify treaties of mutual recognition with 12 seperate micronations; among these included Cycoldia, Karnia-Ruthenia, Pinang, Cotter Menaceland, and the now re-established Lehmark (though the relations between the two currently are murky). Besides practically outlining Versmarkian foreign policy for years, he also recommended that the Sovereign of Versmark establish various orders pertaining to service to Versmark’s diplomatic efforts, several of which were given through today’s notice. Further, he went on several international diplomatic trips across the world on behalf of Versmark, “[dining] with Cycoldia’s monarch in the heart of Westminster, [shopping] with Pinang’s premier in Camden, and [touring] museums with Cotter Menaceland’s parliament speaker in Washington.“
Going out of his term, Sir Ford also made several adjustments to the Foreign Ministry: he appointed Sir John-Ramakrishnananda Bin-Thai as Consul-General of North America (dismissing HL Elliana Ford), and appointed HL Connor Hetner as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs ad interim, thus shaping him up to take his place. As three years of service comes to a close in just a few days, we bid Ford farewell from the MoFA and wish him good luck elsewhere in Versmark.
