Today, the Compass Party has been absorbed by the Monarchist Council Party, or MCP, following deliberation by the leaders of both parties and a democratic vote by members of both parties. A statement released by the leader of the Compass Party, Josh Ford, Count of Brandywine, reads;
Today, I have the privilege to share with you an important decision in the life of our movement. Following extensive consideration and a democratic vote amongst our members, the Compass Party has chosen to merge with the Monarchist Council Party.
When we founded the Compass Party, we did so to advance the causes dear to us. These being green conservatism, classical liberalism, and the strengthening of our House of Representatives. These values have guided us these past few months, and they will not be abandoned. Rather, they are finding a stronger home in a partnership with those who, like us, believe in responsible governance, projecting stability, and the stewardship of our nation’s traditions, under the leadership of His Sovereign Majesty.
This was not a decision made lightly, but I wholeheartedly believe it is in the best interest of our membership, and the country. I believe that together, our citizens will be better served. I am deeply grateful to every member, current and former, who has contributed to the development of our movement during our journey.
This merger is not an end, but a new beginning. A next step to ensuring our values live on, and our nation is protected for generations.
This announcement comes ahead of Election season in Versmark, with House of Representatives, Governor, and Royal Guild of the Orchean elections coming up in less than a month.

The merger comes on the same day as the registration of a new party, the ACT!, or Allience for Civic Transformation. The party has members from the former VLA, or Versmark Labour Allience, though the party seems to be going a different direction politically.
While the merger was not in reaction to the formation of the Allience, and was in fact being discussed weeks prior, this new development will surely shape the interesting and positive direction Versmark is heading.
