On July 30th, 2025 the two members of the reporting staff the Versmark National had the exclusive privilege to have an interview with, His Sovereign Majesty Wald I, on numerous topics from the national economy to civil rights. The following are some of the questions asked and the annotated response from His Sovereign Majesty.
What is your administration’s biggest success so far, and what do you consider your biggest failure? – Versmark has been working to grow and developed for the past two years of its history, throughout that time we have working to build on that growth and grow social cohesion – on the other side of the coin, Versmark hasn’t meet its development goal in community activity and membership which as been a factor in the stunting of various projects. It finds itself in a point of not being able to successfully expand in all ways.
What can be done to increase citizen involvement and trust in our government or organization? – As of now, all Versmarkians are entitled to the public resources such as the Database, and public Parliament channels allowing citizens to see the discussions, current, and past legislation. Political awareness has most of always been open to view such as the party-persuasion material and the policy accepted by each party. It has been always be a matter of public view in which decisions are made, additionally citizens can get involved by showing activity and taking projects up for the nation. It has been said that if you show dedication, authority and ability will come with it. After this question His Sovereign Majesty asked the people the following, “Why don’t you step up and take part in Versmark?
What is your political party’s or your policy’s opinion of its opposition? – HSM Wald I, commented on the party he is a member of, the MCP, as the founding party of Versmark has seen itself as the middle ground between the other two parties of Versmark (Compass & Labour Alliance Parties) and that polarization between them both hasn’t been strong as for the majority, they have shown cooperation and respect for one another. Most of the friction between parties has been friendly competition for a seat in either parliament house.
What is your position in the economics of Versmark and its treasury situation?- Money, and economics has always been a project and a problem for Versmark. Although contrary to this, Versmark is in a good position to develop this project of introducing a formal currency as the Ministry of the Treasury has preposed numerous proposals for possible currencies. As the economy of Versmark hasn’t really been a thing, the previously passed Corporations & Commerce Act will hopefully kickstart this topic of Versmark as Letter’s of Patent’s are being processed. Also the current investment into Versmark is to change for the better as various projects such as national merchandise are being considered and admissions to the 2027 MicroCon event representing Versmark is already purchased by the respective representatives.
Expanding on that, what are the projects in place to advance our national economics? – Currently, the “Versmarkian Crown“, a silver based, and backed currency is in speculation to bring actual transactions to our national economy. This will set up the exchange of macronational currency into crowns will, intern grow the treasury and investments of Versmark. Additionally, as stated before the Corporations & Commerce Act, entailing Letters Patents are set to be slowly released instead of immediately being granted, His Sovereign Majesty wants all corporations registered to be able to thrive.
What is the current policy on Transparency within Versmark and its operations? – The Sovereign commented that transparency is the backbone of government work in Versmark, members of the Government and the sovereign himself are working to be as transparent as possible, while there are no official laws mandating transparency, the Sovereign mentioned the possibility of one to do so in the future. He also mentioned that all of Versmark’s agencies are open to transparency, and believes that for the majority, it agencies do efficiently inform the public on its projects and progress. The Sovereign also stated that citizens inquiring on information and request it professional, as he assures that accurate details can be displayed.
“I think Versmark is at the crossroads of our next chapter. We have a massive amount of potential as a Micronation and we are starting to see exponential growth in our development. Our resources are growing, with the potential for physical items for our citizens, new government functions and lot’s of room to grow in terms of population.
Our core group of citizens and government officials are very dedicated and hardworking to making Versmark the very best it can be. As a group the future of Versmark is looking very bright.
Of course there are many things we can work on and improve, but progress is constantly being made. Versmark can’t function without dedicated members and I am looking forward to meeting more likeminded individuals in the future.” – HSM Wald I
