The 6th Versmarkian General Election closed this Saturday afternoon, with results being announced by Minister of the Interior Josh Ford.
The MCP won with a three of the five seats in the House of Representatives, maintaining a lead over the two seats belonging to the ACT. All currently sitting Representatives returned to their seats, with Tobey Wyles and Mihnea Coman gaining seats for their party.
The election marks a continued dominance of the Monarchist Council Party in Versmarkian politics, while this is the Alliance for Civic Transformation’s first ever election as a party. While in the Province of Williamsburg, the ACT won the Governorship, with Esty Carpentieri being reelected for his second term as Governor.
After the election results were announced, a letter was delivered from His Sovereign majesty, listing honours and titles, as well as granting royal appointments.
Mats Seifert was appointed to the office of the Premier of Versmark, the first Premier in Versmarkian History, Benjamin Baliga appointed to the House of Lords and Alexandra Reaney appointed as Lord-Speaker of the House of Lords. Additional Royal Court appointments and honours were released.
The first session of the House of Representatives was held this Sunday Night at 8pm Eastern. The House of Lords is currently scheduling their first session of the term.
