TYMBARC, Tym. (Versmark National) — Versmark’s “sports sector” has seen a massive growth in the past week, owing to a successful bid for the 2026 Remote Games, Tymbarc’s advancement past the group stage of the 2026 Intermicronational Haxball World Cup, and the proposed formation of a Royal Sports Guild in the House of Representatives.
Last week, on the 20th, Tymbarc (a Crown Protectorate of Versmark) concluded its group stage in the 2026 Intermicronational Haxball World Cup with a 2-1 record, placing second in its Group B; it thus advanced to a “playoff round” comprising all teams that placed second place in their respective groups. Having begun the group stage with a 6-4 loss to Stanland, it later bounced back with a 11-1 win over the Pearson Republic and a close 3-2 win over Kipstania; the last of these games was described by Hasan Çakar, organizer of the tournament, as one of the more exciting games in the tournament. He has also projected Tymbarc to face Mahuset, which had a perfect 3-0 record in its group, in the knock-out round.
A few days prior, on the 17th, M. Seifert proposed an application to form the Royal Sports Guild in the House of Representatives. According to the RSG’s application, it would be “dedicated to the promotion, development, and administration of sports and e-sports in Versmark”, and would further establish a national team to represent Versmark in intermicronational competitions, as well as national- and regional-level sporting events throughout the Sovereign State.
Finally, on the 23rd, the Micronational Olympic Federation announced that Versmark was set to host the 2026 Remote Games. The bid – originally announced by Am Martin during his tenure as Minister of Culture of the Arts – would see the Remote Games include its previous events, as well as an 800m run, a 5km cross-country run, and several weightlifting events (bench press, squat, and deadlift). The Ministry of Culture and the Arts is currently in the process of establishing an “Olympic committee” to manage and moderate the events in conjunction with the MOF.
